INSTALLER SUPPORT / GRID CONNECTION

Grid connection preparation

You manage the installation and grid connection application. Dynergy can help with Dyness product documents, battery configuration information and guidance on the utility’s preparation steps—so your team spends less time gathering information. The installer remains responsible for the submission, technical design and site work; MEA or PEA reviews and approves the connection.

Self-consumption

A system operating in parallel with the grid still needs the utility’s connection permission. PEA’s self-use route requires protection against exporting electricity.

Sell approved surplus

Apply to the residential export programme. Selection and a power purchase contract are additional steps; a self-use connection does not automatically authorise electricity sales.

01

Choose the utility and route

Check the electricity bill: MEA serves Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan; other provinces use PEA. Select self-use or the applicable export programme.

02

Prepare the project file

Gather customer and meter details, authorisation if applicable, drawings and equipment information. Check the current utility checklist before submitting.

03

Submit and respond to review

Use My Energy or PPIM. Track requests for corrections and technical review. For approved exports, complete the contract and required payments.

04

Complete installation and checks

Follow the approved design and applicable ERC requirements. Coordinate utility inspection, metering and connection testing.

05

Confirm permission to operate

Complete the utility’s connection process. Export projects also need commercial-operation confirmation under their contract. Retain approvals and handover records.

Prepare with your customer

Start with a recent electricity bill, account and meter details, installation address, applicant identification and any representative authorisation.

Prepare with your technical team

Check the required single-line diagram, layout, inverter registration, equipment datasheets, protection settings and design certification. For hybrid systems, show the battery and backup arrangement.

Reviewed 7 October 2026. The steps above are a planning overview; documents, sequence, fees and approvals depend on the utility and project. Confirm the current official checklist before submission.
